Royal Air Force of Oman celebrates graduation of new recruits

MUSCAT: The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) on Tuesday celebrated the graduation of a new batch of recruits at the military parade ground at Ghala Base and the Sultan Qaboos Air Academy.
The event was held under the auspices of retired Major General Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al Mantheri, and in the presence of Air Vice Marshal Khamis bin Hammad al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman.
The ceremony featured a series of diverse military displays. Then, the graduates chanted the anthem of the Royal Air Force of Oman, took the oath of loyalty, pledged allegiance and proclaimed thrice: “Long live His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander.” Outstanding performers of the course were also recognised. Recruit Ali bin Mohammed Belhaf secured first place overall for the course, Recruit Munthir bin Musabih al Ghamlasi achieved top honours in military drill, and Recruit Mohammed bin Nasser al Adawi earned first place in light weapons marksmanship. - ONA
