KHASAB: The Governorate of Musandam recently launched its digital spatial portal in both Arabic and English.
The digital spatial portal, launched on the governorate's website, reflects efforts to enhance digital transition and use modern technologies to develop public services. It provides an interactive platform designed to enable users to easily access geographical and spatial information and data related to the governorate.
The Director of the Department of Information Technology at the Directorate-General of Administrative and Financial Affairs in Musandam Governorate, Amna bint Mohammed al Shuhhi, said the portal provides accurate, up-to-date information in a user-friendly, interactive digital environment.
She added that the portal features a range of digital services and tools, including interactive maps and advanced search components that can be used in planning and decision-making. The portal also contributes to linking geographical data within an integrated digital environment that supports the work of government units and enhances the efficiency of urban planning and infrastructure development.
The new portal constitutes a cornerstone for future projects and initiatives that use technologies of smart cities and emerging technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) and digital twins. This consolidates integration among different systems and services and supports the development of a smarter and more sustainable future for the governorate, she said. - ONA
