Al Batinah North to host literary forum

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth is organising the 28th edition of the Literary Forum in Suhar, Al Batinah North Governorate, from October 25 to 29, 2026.
The forum is accorded great attention by talented people in the cultural community as it provides a platform for them to showcase their contributions to cultural life.
The forum’s programme includes a competition in classical Arabic poetry, popular poetry and short stories.
The programme also includes sessions for critical insights into the texts presented in the competition, in addition to specialised cultural sessions in the fields of classical poetry, popular poetry and short stories.
The forum, which hosts writers and poets from the Sultanate of Oman and abroad, also includes competitions in singing, photography, monodrama, and fine arts. - ONA
