RAFO band excels in Scotland intl music competition

PERTH: The band of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) secured overall first place in the World Music Competition held in Perth, Scotland, as part of the Grade 4B contests.
The RAFO band also won first place in the bagpipe group and second place in the drum group.
The RAFO team secured second place in the World Music Contest (WMC) held in Perth in the 3rd Global Level (B).
In addition, the RAFO team secured the top three places in the individual baton-bearers’ competition. Warrant Officer Mohammed bin Khamis al Amri took first place, followed by Staff Sergeant Mahmoud bin Yousuf al Sinani in second, and Captain Humaid bin Sulaiman al Ghafri in third.
