His Majesty the Sultan pays a private visit to Qatar

DOHA: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today paid a private visit to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the sisterly State of Qatar.

During the visit, a fraternal meeting was held between the leaders of the two countries at the Amiri Diwan in the Qatari capital, Doha. They discussed the course of bilateral relations and ways to further develop existing cooperation across various sectors in a manner that serves the shared interests and aspirations of the two countries.

The meeting was attended, on the side of His Majesty the Sultan, by HH Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of State and Governor of Muscat; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Gen Sultan bin Mohammed Al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior; Eng Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals; Sayyid Dr Sultan bin Yarub Al Busaidi, Adviser at the Private Office; and Sayyid Ammar bin Abdullah Al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman accredited to the State of Qatar.

From the Qatari side, the meeting was attended by Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs; Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya); Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, Chief of the Amiri Diwan; Sheikh Hamad bin Tamim Al Thani; Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs; Sheikh Faisal bin Thani Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry; Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani, Minister of Transport; Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; and Sheikh Mubarak bin Fahad Al Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

His Highness the Emir of Qatar was at the forefront of those who received and saw off His Majesty the Sultan at the Amiri Terminal of Hamad International Airport, accompanied by a number of senior officials.
