'Muscat Sign' to be switched off for maintenance

Muscat Municipality has announced the temporary suspension of the 'Muscat Sign' lights located on Al Jabal Street (Mountain Road) connecting Bausher and Al Amerat wilayats.
The suspension has been introduced to carry out necessary periodic maintenance work. The lights will be restored to operation as soon as the work is completed.
The Muscat Municipality unveiled the 'Muscat Sign' project in November 2024 as a new addition to the capital's landmarks.
Located at the top of the mountain, the project features illuminated letters 16 meters high and 42 meters wide.
The lighting can be seen from a distance along the Muscat Expressway and also from some areas around Sultan Qaboos Street.
The technology used in the project allows the lighting colors to change according to different occasions, adding a festive touch and enhancing the beauty of the capital
