The Industrial Innovation Academy has announced the opening of registration for the Industrial Business Accelerator, implemented in collaboration with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Riyada).
The accelerator targets innovative idea owners, industrial startups, entrepreneurs and owners of industrial enterprises seeking to establish or expand their businesses through two specialised tracks: Industrial Innovation Development, accommodating 15 startups and Industrial Venture Creation, accommodating 15 entrepreneurs or industrial business owners.
The accelerator is scheduled to commence in September 2026 and will run for six months. Participants will benefit from a comprehensive support package that includes specialised training, prototype development, mentoring and advisory services, connections with investors, investment funds and industrial partners, as well as access to an integrated working environment featuring office space, training rooms, meeting facilities and logistical support to enhance the readiness of their projects for growth and expansion.
The Industrial Business Accelerator builds on the strategic collaboration between the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), represented by the Industrial Innovation Academy and the SMEs Development Authority (Riyada), following the success of the Omani Promising Startups Accelerator implemented last year.
Business accelerators play a pivotal role in enabling startups to grow and scale. This year’s Industrial Business Accelerator has been specifically designed to support entrepreneurs and startups operating within the industrial sector, one of the key sectors driving Oman’s economic diversification. The programme also aligns with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 by contributing to the development of a knowledge-based, technology-driven and innovation-led economy, while keeping pace with the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Registration will remain open until August 12, 2026. Applicants will undergo an evaluation and selection process to ensure the quality and suitability of participants. Those interested in joining the accelerator can submit their applications through the Industrial Innovation Academy’s official social media platforms.
