Hotter months ahead as Oman forecasts above-average temperatures until October

Muscat: Temperatures across the Sultanate of Oman are expected to remain above the long-term climatic average during August, September and October 2026, according to the latest seasonal outlook issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The bulletin, issued in August, provides an initial indication of the temperature and rainfall patterns expected across Oman over the next three months.
During August, temperatures are forecast to remain above the climatic average throughout the Sultanate, while rainfall is expected to be below average across the country.
A similar temperature pattern is anticipated in September, with above-average temperatures likely to continue across Oman. Rainfall during the month is forecast to range from near average to below average in different parts of the Sultanate.
In October, temperatures are once again expected to remain above the climatic average. Rainfall conditions, however, are likely to change, with above-average precipitation forecast across Oman during the month.
The CAA said seasonal bulletins are issued every month to provide an initial indication of possible weather conditions over longer periods.
It stressed that seasonal forecasts provide only a broad outlook and do not replace the regular short- and medium-range weather bulletins, which offer more detailed and updated information as the forecast period approaches.
