Over 8,000 cans of bottled water destroyed over health concerns

Mucat: The food safety and quality specialists at the Directorate General of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources (MAFWR) in South Batinah Governorate destroyed 8,400 cans of bottled drinking water in Barka Governorate.
The Directorate General said that the decision to destroy this particular shipment of water did not comply with the approved health requirements, as microbial contamination, in addition to the percentage of total dissolved solids lower than the permissible limits.
