MoL confirms conditions for job seekers in the public sector

The Ministry of Labour (MoL) has confirmed the introduction of a new criterion for job seekers from the beginning of this year.
The condition is that those who resigned from a government entity or government-owned company are ineligible to register again.

The main objective of this condition is to stabilize the national workforce in government entities, reduce job mobility between these entities, and also provide job seekers waiting for their first job opening. This decision is intended to ensure fairness for all job seekers, said Ammar bin Salem Al Saad, Director General of the Directorate General of Labor and official spokesperson for the Labor Affairs Sector

The official at the Ministry said that the main goal of this Omanization is to increase the participation of national talent in jobs currently held by expatriates.
The announcement of new job vacancies on Saturday is part of the gradual implementation of Omanization policies as per the targets at the beginning of each year, in coordination with relevant government agencies.
