MUSCAT: The Children’s Summer Camp has entered its second week as part of Sport Spark 2026, presented by Sohar International, continuing to offer young participants an exceptional summer experience that brings together sport, entertainment and learning in a safe and inspiring environment at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Since its launch, the camp has created an energetic and engaging atmosphere, transforming the summer break into a daily journey filled with new experiences, exciting challenges and opportunities for personal growth.
Children take part in a wide range of sporting and interactive activities designed to improve their physical fitness, build confidence and encourage exploration, cooperation and the development of new friendships.
Open to children aged six to 14, the camp features a balanced daily programme that includes football, basketball, cricket and the Ninja Challenge, alongside a variety of games and interactive activities combining movement, concentration and teamwork.
Each activity has been carefully designed to give participants the opportunity to discover their abilities, develop new skills and embrace fresh challenges in an atmosphere filled with enjoyment, enthusiasm and collaboration.
Beyond physical activity, the camp also contributes to children’s personal and social development. Its activities help strengthen communication skills, discipline, responsibility, teamwork and self-confidence through a programme that thoughtfully combines education with entertainment.
The camp reflects the importance of introducing children to sport from an early age and encouraging them to adopt healthier and more active lifestyles. It also provides a productive environment in which they can spend their summer developing their physical and social abilities away from sedentary routines.
The Children’s Summer Camp is among the key programmes featured at Sport Spark 2026, presented by Sohar International. The event offers a diverse calendar of sporting, entertainment and interactive experiences designed for different age groups and interests, making it a comprehensive indoor summer destination for children, young people and families.
As the camp continues into its second week, it is attracting children from across the Sultanate of Oman, supported by growing interest from families seeking a summer programme that combines enjoyment with meaningful development.
The experience enables children to remain physically active, acquire new skills and build positive social connections within a well-organised, supportive and motivating environment.
The camp embodies Sport Spark’s wider vision of enhancing quality of life, promoting community participation in sport and providing meaningful experiences that contribute to raising a healthier, more active and confident generation. Every day at the camp offers a new challenge, a new skill to learn and another memorable summer experience.
