Oman Club concludes financial management course for sports institutions

MUSCAT: Oman Club, in cooperation with Lamsa Team, recently concluded a specialised training course on financial management for sports institutions at the club’s headquarters in Al Khuwair.
The programme attracted 37 male and female participants, including professionals working in sports clubs, teams and youth institutions, as well as individuals interested in sports administration.
The course was organised as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen administrative and financial capabilities within the sports sector. It received positive feedback from participants, who praised its practical content and relevance to the financial challenges facing sports organisations.
The programme was delivered by Hassan Faraj Ibrahim, Financial Officer at Oman Club, who introduced participants to contemporary financial management concepts and practical approaches. Particular emphasis was placed on real-world applications that can help sports institutions achieve financial sustainability and improve administrative efficiency.
The training covered several key topics, including the concept, objectives and responsibilities of financial management in sports institutions, as well as the preparation and analysis of financial statements. Participants also took part in practical exercises focused on preparing and evaluating financial reports.

Interactive workshops, open discussions and practical activities formed an important part of the programme, enabling participants to transform theoretical knowledge into applicable skills that can be used within sports clubs, institutions and associations.
Participants said the course provided them with valuable practical knowledge in budget preparation, financial performance analysis and sound financial decision-making. They also commended the clarity of the presentations and the trainer’s ability to connect financial concepts with realistic situations encountered in the sports sector.
At the conclusion of the course, participants were presented with certificates, training kits and reference guides designed to support them in applying the knowledge and skills acquired during the programme in their respective workplaces.
