UTAS Delegation takes part in summer programme in Russia

MUSCAT: The University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) has concluded its participation in the International Summer Programme hosted in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation, from July 4 to 19. The programme brought together students from universities across the world in an enriching academic and cultural environment aimed at promoting international collaboration, intercultural dialogue, and the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
Representing UTAS and the Sultanate of Oman were three students from the University's Ibra Branch: Yahya bin Khalifa al Mughairi, Saif bin Mohammed al Jahdhami, and Al Hawari bin Rashid al Rashdi. Throughout the programme, they engaged with fellow students from leading higher education institutions worldwide, strengthening academic ties and fostering meaningful cross-cultural connections.
The two-week programme featured a comprehensive agenda of specialised lectures, interactive workshops, panel discussions, educational visits and cultural exchange activities. Participants explored current developments across a range of academic disciplines while gaining valuable insights into different educational systems and cultural perspectives. The experience enhanced their academic knowledge and strengthened their ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in diverse international settings.
In addition to the academic programme, the students exchanged ideas and experiences with peers from various countries, building lasting academic and personal relationships based on mutual respect and understanding. These interactions contributed significantly to the development of their intercultural communication, teamwork, leadership, and creative thinking skills, while enriching their academic and professional growth.
The UTAS delegation reflected the high standards and capabilities of Omani students through their active participation and positive engagement throughout the programme. They proudly showcased Oman's rich cultural identity and values while highlighting the significant progress achieved by Oman in higher education and the quality of its academic institutions in fostering innovation, excellence, and global engagement.
