Al Rustaq’s heritage, beauty captured in photography expo

AL RUSTAQ: The ‘Al Rustaq from the Sky’ exhibition was held in the Wilayat of Al Rustaq, Al Batinah South Governorate, showcasing the region’s natural beauty, historical landmarks, and architectural heritage through aerial photography.
Organised by Al Rustaq Arts Team of Al Rustaq Sports Club in cooperation with the Office of the Wali of Al Rustaq, the exhibition concluded on July 11 at the Governor of Al Rustaq’s office hall.
Held under the auspices of Dr Yahya bin Sulaiman al Nadabi, Wali of Al Rustaq, the exhibition marked the first event of the Barza 2026 Forum – Al Rustaq Forum for Visual Arts.
The exhibition featured 40 artworks by 10 photographers, offering a unique aerial perspective of Al Rustaq’s landscapes and cultural identity. The photographs captured the wilayat’s natural attractions, historic sites, and distinctive architectural features through creative visual interpretations.
The event aimed to promote cultural and artistic activities in Al Rustaq, preserve the visual memory of the wilayat, and provide a platform for Omani photographers to showcase their talents.
Al Rustaq Visual Arts Forum will continue throughout the year with a series of exhibitions and cultural events, including the ‘Al Rustaq and Art Exhibition’ in September and the ‘Al Rustaq Through Time Exhibition’ in November, highlighting the wilayat’s rich heritage and history. – ONA
