PDO to sign RO 3m CSR agreements today

MUSCAT: Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) will sign a number of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agreements in the education, health, environment and youth development sectors at a total value exceeding RO 3 million.
The agreements include supporting the scholarship programme for students in schools within the company’s concession areas, supporting the youth skills development camp, supporting the early warning system project for monitoring seawater quality, funding the construction of a new specialised orthopaedic clinic at Khoula Hospital and establishing a new accident and emergency unit at Al Jazir Hospital, among other projects.
These projects embody four key pillars of the PDO’s corporate approach, aligning with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 by supporting national development, promoting sustainability and social impact, and strengthening the human capital development pillar through investment in education, youth empowerment, and skills development.
This also reflects the company’s ongoing corporate transformation towards a more comprehensive and impactful role extending beyond traditional operations to create a sustainable impact on society and the environment.
The company’s leadership continues to solidify a responsible approach that balances operational performance with national responsibility, and leads initiatives with a long-term impact. — ONA
