Oman, Morocco sign MoU to train professionals

RABAT: The Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Justice in the Kingdom of Morocco to enhance and develop cooperation between the two sides in the field of training and qualifying lawyers, legal professionals, and experts, embodying the principle of mutual interests.
The memorandum was signed on behalf of the Sultanate of Oman by Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, while it was signed on behalf of the Moroccan side by Abdellatif Ouahbi, Minister of Justice of Morocco. The signing took place in the city of Rabat in the Kingdom of Morocco, in the presence of Khalid bin Salim Bamakhalif, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Morocco, along with a number of officials from both sides.
The memorandum includes the implementation of joint programmes in the field of training and qualifying lawyers, legal professionals, and experts. This aims to contribute to raising the efficiency of national cadres and enhancing the quality of judicial and legal work through the exchange of professional expertise and experiences, as well as the organisation of training programmes, seminars, and specialised workshops.
The Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs stated that this memorandum represents a practical framework for enhancing cooperation between the two sides in the judicial and legal fields. He added that it opens new horizons for the exchange of specialised expertise, experiences, and knowledge in the field of training and qualifying lawyers, legal professionals, and experts. This, he noted, contributes to developing professional competencies, enhancing the quality of judicial and legal services, and achieving the shared interests of the two countries.
On the sidelines of the visit, the Minister held a series of official meetings with a number of senior officials in the judicial system of the Kingdom of Morocco. - ONA
