Information Minister honours media personnel

SUR: Dr Abdullah bin Nasser al Harrasi, Minister of Information, honoured on Sunday in the Governorate of Al Sharqiyah South a number of students from the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) in Sur who participated in the media gathering titled 'Al Sharqiyah South: A Sustainable Impact.'
He also honoured the employees of the Department of Communication and Media in the governorate in appreciation of their efforts and contributions in supporting media work.
During his visit to the governorate, he was briefed on the most prominent media achievements, initiatives, and programmes implemented by the Al Sharqiyah South Governorate in the field of media and communication. He also reviewed the ongoing efforts exerted to enhance the presence of the media message.
This took place during the Minister of Information’s meeting with Dr Yahya bin Badr al Maawali, Governor of Al Sharqiyah South.
The meeting reviewed the current media efforts within the governorate and discussed a number of topics related to developing media work and enhancing its vital role in supporting local development. — ONA
