The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth (MoCSY), in partnership with strategic funding from OQ Exploration & Production, has launched the second group of the first edition of the 'Tazeez Community Teams Programme', targeting community teams across Al Batinah North, Al Dakhiliyah, Al Buraimi and Al Wusta governorates.
The programme forms part of ongoing national efforts to empower community teams and enhance their contribution to sustainable development across Oman.
During this phase, participating teams will undertake a structured development journey that includes specialised workshops, innovation labs, networking sessions, mentoring, coaching and professional advisory services. These components are designed to strengthen institutional capacities and support the implementation of impactful and sustainable community initiatives.
The workshops will focus on key areas such as community team management, administrative and financial planning, initiative design and execution, partnership development and institutional sustainability, enabling teams to enhance operational efficiency and maximise developmental impact at the local level.
In addition, innovation labs and networking sessions will provide interactive platforms bringing together community teams, experts, specialists and supporting organisations. These sessions aim to promote knowledge exchange, collaboration and the development of innovative community-based solutions.
The programme also places strong emphasis on enhancing collaboration between community teams and relevant stakeholders by creating opportunities for dialogue, experience sharing and partnership building.
This approach is expected to support the development of strategic collaborations that strengthen community engagement and expand opportunities for sustainable social initiatives.
The Tazeez Community Teams Programme is a national initiative designed to build the institutional and operational capacities of community teams through specialised training and development pathways.
