Al Kamil W'al Wafi Amateur League kicks off June 11

The stage is set for another season of grassroots football excitement after the draw for the 2026 edition of the “Cheer for Your Team” Amateur Football League was conducted at Al Nujoom Hall of Al Kamil W'al Wafi Club.
The draw ceremony was held under the patronage of Eng Sulaiman bin Hamad al Sinaidy, Director General of Al Dakhiliyah Municipality, in the presence of Dr Abdulmohsin al Marhoobi, Chairman of Al Kamil W'al Wafi Club, alongside representatives of participating teams and sports enthusiasts from across the wilayat.
nine teams were divided into two groups ahead of the tournament’s official kick-off on June 11. Group A features Tahwa, Al Shabab, Al Jazeera, Al Ittihad and Al Mansour, while Group B comprises Al Hilal, Hadri Bilad, Al Maamoura and Shabab Al Wafi.
Widely regarded as one of the most anticipated sporting events in the wilayat, the competition continues to serve as an important platform for nurturing football talent, encouraging community engagement and strengthening ties among young athletes.
Organisers expect another competitive edition as teams intensify preparations in pursuit of the title. The tournament has consistently attracted strong public interest, with local supporters eager to rally behind their teams and witness emerging talents showcase their abilities on the pitch.
