WHO delegation reviews Yanqul Health City initiatives

YANQUL: A delegation from the World Health Organization (WHO) reviewed a number of health and community initiatives and programmes being implemented by Yanqul Health City in Al Dhahirah Governorate. This effort aims to promote public health concepts, sustainable development and improve quality of life.
The delegation began its visit programme with a meeting at the office of Shaikh Ali bin Mohammed al Busaidy, Wali of Yanqul, attended by members of the Executive Office of Yanqul Health City and a number of officials and specialists from the wilayat.
The meeting included an extensive presentation on the most prominent events, activities and initiatives implemented by Yanqul Health City, along with an overview of the wilayat's geographical location and its health and developmental indicators. The presentation also discussed programmes and projects implemented in accordance with approved Healthy Cities standards. - ONA
