Oman, Belarus explore industrial cooperation

MINSK: Oman and Belarus have discussed opportunities to deepen industrial and investment cooperation as both countries seek to expand economic ties and create new avenues for private sector collaboration.
The discussions took place during a meeting in Minsk between Faisal bin Abdullah al Rawas, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), and Andrey Kuznetsov, Belarusian Minister of Industry. The meeting formed part of the visit of an Omani trade delegation to Belarus and was attended by members of OCCI's Board of Directors.
Both sides reviewed the progress of bilateral economic relations and highlighted the importance of strengthening industrial partnerships to support mutual economic interests and promote sustainable growth.
The talks focused on potential cooperation across a number of industrial sectors, including vehicle manufacturing and assembly, as well as the production of road construction machinery and equipment. The two sides also explored opportunities to encourage greater private sector participation and facilitate new investment partnerships between businesses in Oman and Belarus.
In addition, the meeting examined mechanisms for enhancing commercial, industrial and investment cooperation and discussed practical steps to expand economic engagement in the coming period.
The discussions reflect the growing interest of both countries in broadening trade and industrial links, while leveraging complementary strengths to create mutually beneficial investment opportunities and support long-term economic cooperation. — ONA
