Pilgrims have begun arriving home from the Holy Land after performing the Haj pilgrimage for the 1447 AH season. The rest of the pilgrims will continue to arrive via air and land ports.
The Sultanate of Oman’s total quota for this year’s pilgrimage was 14,000 pilgrims, including 13,560 Omani citizens and 440 residents.
Meanwhile, the Military Haj Mission (MHM) returned home from the Holy Land after completing their Hajj pilgrimage.
The mission was received upon arrival at Seeb Air Base by Maj Gen (Retd) Hassan Ihsan Naseeb and a number of senior officers from the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and other military and security bodies.
The MHM arrived aboard several Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) transport aircraft. The mission included pilgrims and administrators from the Sultan’s Armed Forces and other military and security bodies.
The return of the remaining Omani pilgrims to the homeland will continue in the coming days, amidst ongoing efforts to ensure the smooth flow of return procedures and the safety of the pilgrims.
The Omani Haj Mission (OHM) included an administrative team comprising various administrative, medical, media, and technical specialists who contributed to providing all necessary services and facilities for the pilgrims throughout their stay in the Holy Land.
A number of Omani pilgrims praised the services provided and the efforts exerted by the Oman Haj Mission in providing services and establishing administrative facilities and systems for the pilgrims from the opening of the registration system until the pilgrims’ safe return home.
The OHM confirmed that the Haj season proceeded according to the approved plan and timeline. The mission coordinated and cooperated with its partners in both the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. All Omani pilgrims performed the Haj rituals in a safe and healthy environment.
The OHM affirmed that it monitored the implementation of its field and service plans for the Haj season through its various working delegations, which enhanced its readiness to serve the pilgrims.
The Omani Haj Mission was accompanied by several delegations, including the Fatwa and Religious Guidance delegation, the Administrative and Financial delegation, the Campaigns Supervision delegation, the Medical delegation, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) delegation, the State Administrative and Financial Apparatus delegation, the Media delegation, and the Scout delegation.
All members of the delegations carried out their tasks and duties to serve pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman while performing the Haj rituals in all the holy sites of Mecca, Medina, Mina and Muzdalifah.
The 1447 AH Haj season witnessed the implementation of several quality initiatives with the aim of enhancing the pilgrims’ experience.
Among the most prominent were the Second Hajj and Umrah Conference and Exhibition and the Haj Lab Initiative, which included more than 32 consultative meetings with government and private entities.
In addition, over 133 Haj companies participated in a comprehensive online survey to anticipate challenges, identify priorities, and develop a road map for improving Haj services in future seasons.
The Omani Haj Mission confirmed that the outcomes of these initiatives received significant attention and were submitted to the Permanent Haj Committee for review and consideration of implementation mechanisms and their application in developing the Haj services system in the future.
