MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority (SFAAA), joins in celebrating the ‘Arab Day of Supreme Audit Institutions,’ observed annually on May 24. The event marks the establishment of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) in 1976.
This day was designated during the fourteenth General Assembly meeting of the ARABOSAI to celebrate audit and oversight work across the Arab states.

On this occasion, Hamood bin Sulaiman al Abri, Director of International Cooperation Department, stated that the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) is an organisation that brings together supreme audit institutions in Arab countries. It aims to strengthen cooperation, develop audit work and enhance the quality of financial audit across the region. All supreme audit institutions in the Arab member states of the Arab League are members of the organisation. — ONA
