Oman has achieved a strong top 10 position at the 7th Codeavour International Competition focused on artificial intelligence, coding and robotics, held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Recognised as one of the world’s largest student competitions in AI and robotics, Codeavour 7.0 brought together more than 77,000 students from over 70 countries, with Oman making its debut appearance and securing a place among the top-performing teams.
Students from Indian School Bausher and United International Schools represented Oman at the global innovation event. The Indian School Bausher team participated in Track 1 and Track 3 categories, while United International Schools competed in Track 3.
The Track 1 team from Indian School Bausher presented a project titled ‘Desert Heat Health Guardian,’ while the Track 3 category featured Robo Soccer. The teams were guided by robotics educators Niveda Prem Kumar and Indira Gandhi Alex, along with student participants from Grades 4 to 9.
From United International Schools, students Ibrahim Masood and Marwan Hamza participated under the guidance of mentors and faculty members, showcasing their skills in robotics and innovation.
All participating teams had earlier qualified through national-level competitions in Oman, where they secured gold medals to advance to the international finals.
The Codeavour Oman initiative is organised by the United International Student Academy (UISA) to promote AI, coding, and robotics education and position Oman as a growing hub for student innovation.
UISA Executive Director Hamza Plummer said the long-term vision is to expand the competition across Oman through regional and national qualifying rounds, enabling more students to compete internationally.
Upon return, the participating teams were honoured with Excellence Awards in recognition of their strong performance at the global level.
