TEDx brings together promising young speakers

AL MUSANNAH: The first edition of TEDx 'Young Voices of Oman 2026' was successfully held by the Preparatory Studies Centre at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS), Al Musannah, bringing together promising young speakers from four schools across Al Batinah South in a vibrant celebration of communication, creativity and ideas sharing.
The competition featured sixteen Grade 11 students representing Halah Bint Khuwailed School, Alala Bin Wahab School, Arwa Bint Al Harith School and Al Sult Bin Malik School.
Participants captivated the audience with insightful, informative speeches that reflected confidence, originality and strong critical thinking skills. The programme also featured a dynamic interactive session, which added enthusiasm and energy to the event. The competition concluded with the announcement of eight finalists who advanced to the final stage of the competition.
The finalists delivered engaging and thought-provoking speeches, demonstrating exceptional presentation skills, originality and confidence. Their performances reflected thorough preparation and a strong ability to communicate meaningful ideas to the audience.
