MUSCAT: The penultimate round of the Jindal League delivered movement at both ends of the table, with Al Shabab holding on to second place, Al Nasr dropping points and the battle to avoid relegation left unresolved heading into the final round.
At Al Buraimi Sports Complex, Ibri kept their survival hopes alive with a vital 2-0 victory over Dhofar. Abdulrahman al Yaqoubi opened the scoring in the 37th minute with a header, before Loic Paul sealed the result late on after rounding the goalkeeper. SAMAYIL HOLD AL NASR
At Al Saada Sports Complex, Al Nasr was forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against Samayil. After a cautious first half, the visitors broke the deadlock in the 81st minute through substitute Hazza al Mushaifri, who finished off a swift counter-attack.
Al Nasr responded quickly and rescued a point through Essa al Naabi, ensuring they remained third on 50 points. Samayil, meanwhile, moved to 26 points in ninth place.

SEEB, AL SHABAB SHARE POINTS

With one round remaining, Seeb are already confirmed champions and Al Rustaq have already been relegated. But the battle for survival in the top-tier league remains unresolved.
Al Khabourah are 13th on 22 points, Ibri are 12th on 23 and Dhofar are 11th on 24, leaving all three still exposed heading into the final round. Results on the last day will decide which side survives and which club follows Al Rustaq into the First Division.
