National Committee for Family Affairs Holds Meeting

MUSCAT: The National Committee for Family Affairs held its first meeting for 2026 under the chairmanship of Dr Laila bint Ahmed Al Najjar, Minister of Social Development and Chairperson of the Committee.
The meeting discussed a number of topics related to family affairs, including divorce and the proposed mechanisms to mitigate its resulting impacts, the withholding of alimony, and finding pathways that achieve the best interests of children in particular and the family in general. Additionally, the meeting reviewed some laws relevant to family affairs. — ONA
