HM receives written message from Mauritanian President

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received a written message from President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania concerning bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations.

The message was received by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, during a meeting with Dr Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, Mauritania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, who conveyed the message on behalf of the Mauritanian President.

The two sides reviewed bilateral cooperation and partnership, reaffirming their shared commitment to enhancing ties across various sectors, particularly in economic and investment fields, in line with the aspirations and mutual interests of both countries.

They also exchanged views on regional and international developments, underscoring the importance of supporting efforts aimed at containing tensions and promoting political solutions to strengthen peace and security in accordance with international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
