What are the commonly grown vegetables in Oman?

 

Muscat: Do you know what are the most commonly grown vegetables in the Sultanate in 2025.

According to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), 248,798 tonnes of tomatoes were grown in the country in 2025, followed by cucumbers (138,795 tonnes), pepper (187,216 tonnes), watermelon (117,637 tonnes, cantaloupe (88,102 tonnes), carrots (49,593 tonnes).

Among fruit crops, dates topped the list (514,503 tonnes) followed by lemon (10,537 tonnes), mango (17,123 tonnes), banana (19,297 tonnes), among others.
