His Majesty receives the Arab Cultural Excellence Medal

Muscat: The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) has awarded His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik the Supreme Class of the Arab Cultural Excellence Medal.
The award is in recognition of His Majesty's contributions to supporting Arab culture, enhancing its presence, preserving identity, and advancing the pathways of intellectual and knowledge development across the Arab world.
Saud bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, said that ALECSO's awarding of the Arab Cultural Excellence Medal by His Majesty the Sultan confirms the royal approach in consolidating the status of knowledge and culture for their civilized role in promoting the values of tolerance, coexistence, and rapprochement between peoples.
The Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) will organize, next Tuesday, an official event at its headquarters in the capital Tunis, to honor His Majesty the Sultan, in the presence of senior officials, intellectuals, and those interested in Arab cultural affairs.
The Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) is one of the specialized organizations affiliated with the League of Arab States, established in 1970, and is based in Tunis, Tunisia, and is concerned with developing the fields of education, culture and science in the Arab countries, promoting Arab cultural and knowledge integration, safeguarding cultural heritage, and building intellectual and cultural partnerships among Arab countries.
