Economy Ministry, World Bank discuss technical cooperation

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Economy held a meeting with a delegation from the World Bank, led by Wendy Werner, Country Manager of the World Bank Group for the Sultanate of Oman.
The meeting, held at the ministry’s headquarters, was attended by Sayyid Dr Munthir bin Hilal al Busaidy, Head of Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit at the Ministry of Economy, to discuss ways of enhancing technical cooperation in several areas.
The meeting discussed several topics of mutual interest, primarily exploring areas of cooperation between the two sides, economic diversification efforts, and labour market developments in the Sultanate of Oman.
The session also touched upon discussing mechanisms for aligning initiatives to contribute to achieving mutual added value, alongside reviewing economic performance indicators achieved within the Tenth Five-Year Plan and the progress made in implementing programmes related to Oman Vision 2040.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties emphasised the importance of continuing technical coordination between them, agreeing to hold subsequent meetings to discuss operational aspects and develop frameworks for joint cooperation. - ONA
