HM, Egypt president discuss regional developments

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi discussed ongoing regional developments and their political and economic implications during a telephone conversation.

The two leaders emphasised the need to intensify political and diplomatic efforts to steer U.S.-Iranian negotiations toward resolving the crisis, achieving de-escalation, and ensuring the security of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

They affirmed that these efforts would contribute to strengthening international peace and security in line with the principles of international law.
