CPA records 6,014 violations across Oman in 2025

Muscat: The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) reviewed its 2025 achievements and outlined its 2026 plans during a media briefing in Muscat, during which it highlighted initiatives aimed at expanding services, enhancing impact and improving operational efficiency.

The CPA’s Chairman said the authority carried out 303,776 field inspections covering 244,892 commercial establishments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and curb practices that could harm consumer rights or disrupt market balance.

The campaigns resulted in the recording of 6,014 violations and the seizure of 84,410 goods.

The Authority achieved full digitisation of its core services, reaching 100 per cent in 2025, covering the receipt of complaints, reports and related services, in line with national digital transformation goals and efforts to enhance the quality of government services.
