Oman, France hold the first round of Strategic Dialogue

Paris - The first round of the Strategic Dialogue between the Sultanate of Oman and the French Republic was held in Paris, France.
The Omani side was chaired by Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, while the French side was headed by Martin Prince, Secretary-General of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The two sides exchanged views on several Regional and international issues, foremost of which is the current crisis in the Gulf region and its repercussions, stressing that the best way to overcome challenges and reach sustainable solutions is represented in the pursuit of dialogue and diplomacy, stressing the importance of the return of the concerned parties to the negotiating table.
On the sidelines of the tour, the Government of the Sultanate of Oman signed a convention with the Government of the French Republic on the work permit for spouses of public officials.
It was signed by Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from the Omani side. Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, and from the French side, Secretary General Martin Prince of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
