HM, leaders discuss regional developments

MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, discussed during a telephone call the evolving situation in the region and its security and economic ramifications for nations and their peoples.
During the conversation, the two leaders underscored the imperative of consolidating international efforts to safeguard the security of maritime navigation and to resolve the ongoing conflict through diplomatic channels, grounded in the principles of international law, in a concerted bid to ensure the security and stability of the region and the world.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik also held a telephone conversation with Sanae Takaichi, Japanese Prime Minister.
The telephone conversation reviewed the latest regional developments and their repercussions on the security of countries and the safety of their peoples.
Japan’s Prime Minister commended the Sultanate of Oman’s efforts in easing regional tensions, reaffirming her country’s commitment to resolving the conflict through diplomatic channels and reaching a final agreement. - ONA
