Endowment building opened for Ataa Saham Charitable Team

SAHAM: An endowment building for the Ataa Saham Charitable Team, operating under the Social Development Committee in the Wilayat of Saham, was inaugurated in the Al Batinah North Governorate.
The ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr Laila bint Ahmed al Najjar, Minister of Social Development.
The three-story building features a ground floor dedicated to an exhibition area and commercial shops, while the first and second floors are allocated for residential apartments. Spanning a total area of 3,013 square metres, the project was completed at a total cost of RO 540,191.
In his speech, Shaikh Dr Sultan bin Abdullah al Battashi, Wali of Saham and Chairman of the Social Development Committee in the wilayat, stated that the building enhances financial sustainability and bolsters the charitable activities carried out by the Ataa Saham Charitable Team.
He emphasised that the project serves as a permanent endowment, established on the principle of the importance of charitable endowments as sustainable investment arms for philanthropic work.
He highlighted the integrated approach adopted by the Social Development Committee in cooperation with various community institutions. This synergy aims to achieve projects with a lasting impact on charitable work, fostering social movement and solidarity among individuals and institutions. He noted that the endowment building stands as a model for sustainable investment.
The inauguration featured a visual presentation detailing the construction phases of the endowment building, which was implemented over a 24-month period.
This was followed by a tour of the facility to review its components. The project is expected to generate an annual revenue of RO 42,720. — ONA
