Sustainability, investment conferenceon April 13

 

MUSCAT: The first international conference on business sustainability and enhancing the investment system in the Sultanate of Oman will begin on April 13, Monday at the campus of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Muscat.
The two-day conference is being organised in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, academics, researchers and investors to discuss key issues related to sustainability, innovation and investment development.
The event aims to support national efforts to strengthen Oman’s position as a competitive and sustainable investment destination in line with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
Key topics include foreign direct investment, public-private partnerships, regulatory reforms, innovation and long-term economic sustainability.
Dr Khalid bin Salem al Abri, Assistant President of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Muscat, said the conference is designed as a platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange and partnership-building among stakeholders to generate practical ideas supporting Oman’s investment ecosystem.
He added that the event reflects the university’s commitment to its academic and societal role in advancing economic development and strengthening cooperation between academic institutions and the public and private sectors.
The conference is expected to provide opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing and reviewing global and local trends, challenges and opportunities in business sustainability and investment.
It also underscores the role of higher education institutions in shaping policies and practices that foster innovation, investment and sustainable development in Oman. — ONA
