Ashraf RC wins gold for Royal Cavalry at Sharjah Festival

The colt Ashraf RC, owned by the Royal Cavalry of Oman, claimed the Gold Championship title in the Colts category at the 27th Sharjah International Arabian Horse Festival 2026. The event was organised by the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club at its indoor arena in the Emirate of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates and featured strong participation from leading Arabian horse breeders and stables from around the world.
Ashraf RC delivered an outstanding performance throughout the competition. The colt finished first in the qualifying rounds before advancing to the finals, where it maintained its dominance to secure the Gold Championship title in the Colts category for horses aged two to three years, confirming its status as one of the top performers of the festival.
In the same category, Redan Al Sadeem, owned by Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed al Thani, finished second to win the Silver Championship title. Essam Al Saeed, representing Hanaya Stud, took third place and was awarded the Bronze Championship following a highly competitive contest that reflected the exceptional quality of the field.
The 27th edition of the festival featured the participation of 217 Purebred Arabian horses representing a number of prominent international studs. The competition included six main categories: yearling fillies, fillies aged two to three years, mares, yearling colts, colts aged two to three years, and stallions.
This achievement adds to the Royal Cavalry’s strong record in international competitions and highlights its continued excellence in breeding and presenting Arabian horses. The organisation follows advanced breeding programs, focusing on elite bloodlines and maintaining the highest standards of quality and conformation.
The victory also reflects ongoing efforts in Oman to support and develop the equestrian sector, strengthening the country’s presence in major international events while preserving the heritage of Arabian horses.
