Police aviation, CDAA teams respond to multiple incidents

Muscat: Emergency response teams, including Police Aviation and Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority (CDAA), carried out several rescue operations across the Sultanate as unstable weather conditions led to rising water levels in wadis and multiple incidents.

Police Aviation successfully rescued an Asian truck driver after his vehicle was swept away while attempting to cross Wadi Al Batha in Sinaw. He was airlifted to a safe location and reported to be in good health. Authorities reiterated the importance of avoiding crossing wadis to prevent legal accountability.

In a separate incident, Police Aviation rescued a two-member family after their vehicle was swept away in a wadi in Al Suwaiq. Both individuals were transferred to a safe area and were in stable condition. The aviation unit also transported two Omani citizens from Wadi Al Hawasnah Hospital in Al Khaboura to Rustaq Reference Hospital after they sustained injuries in a traffic accident.

Meanwhile, CDAA rescue teams in North Al Batinah responded to a report of a person trapped inside a vehicle in a wadi in Al Nabr area of Liwa, successfully rescuing the individual. In Al Dhahirah, teams rescued two people stranded in their vehicle in a wadi in Yanqul, while another two individuals were saved in a similar incident in Dank.

In Muscat Governorate, rescue teams responded to a case in Muttrah where a person was trapped inside a vehicle in a wadi and was safely rescued. Authorities continue to urge the public to exercise caution and avoid crossing flooded wadis during adverse weather conditions.
