HM gives audience to Egyptian Foreign Minister

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik gave an audience on Monday at Al Barakah Palace to Dr Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
At the outset of the audience, the guest conveyed the greetings of President Abdel Fattah el Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt to His Majesty the Sultan, along with his good wishes for abundant health and well-being to His Majesty. The Egyptian President also wished the Omani people continuous progress and prosperity.
In return, His Majesty the Sultan asked the guest to convey his greetings and wishes to the Egyptian President for continuous good health and happiness. His Majesty also wished the Egyptian people continuous progress and development.
During the audience, discussions focused on the evolving situation in the region, in light of the ongoing and escalating military operations, alongside the resulting targeting of countries' interests and the violation of their sovereignty.
The audience underscored the imperative of coalescing regional and international endeavours to contain tensions, restore calm and work towards de-escalation, thereby advancing the cause of security and stability on both the regional and global stages.
The meeting was attended by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, and Yasser Mohamed Ahmed Shaaban, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Sultanate of Oman. - ONA
