Sayyid Azzan explained that the meeting was convened to review and approve the annual report for 2025 and the proposed budget for 2026. Also noted that the committee has been working on reorganising its priorities for the coming period, focusing on sports with Olympic potential and on developing young athletes through Olympic Solidarity programmes, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth.

Members also reviewed and approved the final financial accounts for the year ending in 2025, and endorsed the appointment of an auditor for the financial year 2026.
