Meerath, Asfandyar reach PSC cricket final

MUSCAT: Meerath Baushar and Asfandyar reached the final of Pakistan Social Club (PSC) Ramadhan cricket tournament. Hussain of Meerath and Abrar of Asfandyar were the star performers in the semifinals on Monday in front of a good turnout of supporters.
In the first semifinal, Meerath won the toss and bowled first. Horizon Cosmos posted a total of 85 runs.
Meerath reached the target with only losing a wicket. Hussain scored 36 runs studded with three sixes and two fours to guide Meerath to the final. Hussain received the man of the match from chief guest Chaudhary Abbas .
In the second semifinal, Asfandyar XI won the toss and elected to bat against AR Roshni XI coming all the way from Barka.
Abrar was in supreme form to score a blistering knock of 74 runs with the help of 8 sixes and 2 fours in just 26 balls. He also took two brilliant catches to claim the man of the match award.
In reply, AR Roshni could not batted well and lost the match by 65 runs.
The grand finale will be played on Friday, March 13 at 9 pm at the Pakistan School Muscat grounds.
Syed Naveed Safdar Bokhari, Pakistan Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, will be the chief guest and Paul Robert Sheridan, Vice-Chairman of Oman Cricket, will be the guest of honour.
Kaleem Akhtar, PSC Director of Sports, and Chief Coordinator Syed Jameel Zaidi thanked all 32 teams for their contribution to make the tournament a success.
