Seeb triumph 2-1 over Al Musannah to win U19 League

A dramatic goal by Seeb striker Ali bin Rabie al Alawi in the 89th minute crowned Seeb Club U19 Football League for the 2025–26 season, securing their third title in the competition after defeating Al Musannah 2-1.
The final match was played on Saturday evening at Seeb Sports Stadium in the Wilayat of Al Seeb, in the auspices of Eng Qutaiba bin Said al Ghailani, Deputy Chairman of the Oman Football Association.
The match began at a moderate tempo as both sides tested each other cautiously before Seeb missed first serious attempt in the 15th minute when Sulaiman al Kharousi.
Seeb took the lead in the 25th minute, the ball deflected off an Al Musannah defender and fell to Abdulrahman al Busaidy, who struck a low shot into the right corner past goalkeeper Al Mutasim al Badri to make it 1-0.


Al Musannah responded in the 36th minute when their captain Murshid al Jaradi rose above the defence to head home from a well delivered corner from the right flank, beating goalkeeper Sultan al Badri to level the score at 1-1.
The first half ended with both sides locked at 1-1 after an entertaining spell of play in which Seeb enjoyed slightly better control.
The second half grew more intense as Al Musannah searched for the lead. In the 88th minute Abdulhadi al Buraiki took a penalty, but goalkeeper Sultan al Badri made a crucial save to keep the score level.
In the 89th minute Ali bin Rabie al Alawi received the ball inside the penalty area and produced a composed finish into the right corner, sealing a dramatic victory and confirming Seeb as champions.
The match was officiated by referee Ahmed Aqeel Baamer, assisted by Badr al Nadheeri and Hamoud al Fazaari, while Ahmed al Maamari served as fourth official. Abdullah al Shammakhi was the referee assessor and Abdullah al Mukhaini acted as match commissioner.
Seeb reached the final after defeating Al Amerat on penalties following a 1-1 draw in their semifinal at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher.
Al Musannah also advanced after beating Salalah 5-4 in a penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw in their semifinal at the Al Rustaq Sports Complex.
THIRD-PLACE PLAYOFF: AL AMERAT VS SALALAH
In the third-place playoff, Al Amerat claimed the bronze medal after defeating Salalah 3-0, in the playoff match held at Al Seeb Sports Stadium on Friday, concluding their participation with a strong performance.
Al Amerat secured the bronze medal with a 3-0 victory over Salalah. Tamim al Buraiki scored in the 47th minute and added another in the 60th, before Ahmed al Amrani sealed the win with a late goal in the 89th minute.
