Information Ministry calls for regularising status

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Information has called on media institutions and professionals engaged in activities subject to licensing to regularise their status and fulfil all regulatory requirements before March 14, 2026, the deadline set for the specified grace period.
The ministry stated that the reminder comes in implementation of the Executive Regulations of the Media Law and as part of ongoing efforts to foster a well-regulated and compliant media environment in the Sultanate of Oman.
‘Media entities and practitioners are urged to complete the required procedures within the stipulated timeframe to avoid any legal consequences resulting from non-compliance,’ the statement from the ministry said.
