Australian GP corner to be named after two women in F1

 
Berlin: Haas race engineer Laura Müller and Red Bull head ofrace strategy Hanna Schmitz will have Turn 6 of the Albert Park GrandPrix Circuit dedicated to them at the season-opener Formula One Australian Grand Prix, organizers said in a statement on Monday.
The action is part of the 'In Her Corner' initiative celebrating International Women's Day on March 8, when the race will take place.
'The 'In Her Corner' initiative promotes the importance of 'if you can see it, you can be it.' To be a part of this acknowledgement so early on in my F1 career is an honour,' Müller said.
Schmitz added: 'I was always curious about how things work and love dcars. For me, it has been an absolute honour to represent the team on trategic calls and has been a cornerstone of Red Bull's success in recent years.
