The Sultanate of Oman voiced strong condemnation of the statement made by the US ambassador to Israel, which implies an illegitimate acceptance of the imposition of control over Arab lands including the occupied Palestinian territories.
In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry on Sunday, the Sultanate of Oman reaffirmed its categorical rejection of such statements, which violate international law and the Charter of the United Nations, undermine peace prospects and endanger security and stability in the region. The Foreign Ministry reiterated the Sultanate of Oman’s firm stance in support of the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination, the establishment of their independent state on the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, and the end of the occupation of all Arab territories.
Meanwhile, a coalition of Arab and Islamic countries, including the Sultanate of Oman, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Türkiye, the State of Palestine, and the State of Kuwait, alongside the Arab League, the Gulf Cooperation Council, and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC),
