MUSCAT: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) will organise three Ramadhan evenings this year, aimed at supporting economic diversification and fostering dialogue between the public and private sectors. The series will provide a comprehensive outlook on key sectors shaping Oman’s economic future. The first session, scheduled for February 23 in Muscat, will focus on the future of the real estate sector and sustainable cities, examining the new Real Estate Development Law, market performance, investment opportunities and challenges facing developers, alongside initiatives to promote integrated and smart urban development.
The second evening, to be held on March 2, will address the priorities of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan, highlighting its role in advancing Oman Vision 2040, improving the business environment and driving diversification through value-added industries, sustainable tourism and digital transformation. The third seminar, planned for mid-March, will explore economic diplomacy and its role in supporting the national economy, with emphasis on investment attraction, export promotion and the contribution of Omani missions abroad in building long-term economic partnerships.
Faisal bin Abdullah al Rawas, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), said the Ramadhan evenings aim to create shared visions between government and the private sector, encourage informed discussion on challenges and opportunities; and direct efforts towards innovation and productive investment. He added that the selected themes reflect the core transformations underway in the Omani economy and the Sultanate of Oman’s expanding role within the global economic system. — ONA
