FSA warns unlicensed audit firms

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has emphasised the importance of verifying the authorisation of accounting offices before using their services.

In 2025 observations, the FSA found some offices practising accounting and auditing without an FSA licence and strongly stressed that firms must hold an official licence to proceed with work.

A commercial registration (CR) doesn’t serve as a licence to practise accounting and auditing, and doesn’t authorise the holder to provide these services without the FSA’s professional approval and licence.

- Any sort of contract or agreement involving auditing services entered into with a person or office not licensed by the FSA is invalid and will not be recognised.

Refer to the official and updated list of authorised offices published on the FSA’s official website before signing any contract.
