RNO seminar looks at innovation, capacity building

MUSCAT: The Royal Navy of Oman organised on Tuesday the second annual scientific seminar titled 'Innovation and Capacity Building.' The event was held under the auspices of Air Vice Marshal Khamis bin Hammad al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), and in the presence of Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO).
The programme of the seminar, which was held at the Shafaq Club of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), included several key themes. The first theme addressed 'The Reality of Innovation in Higher Education Institutions in the Sultanate of Oman,' while the second theme touched upon 'The Experiences of Higher Education Institutions in Promoting Innovation and Supporting the Education and Learning Environment.' The third theme discussed 'Partnership and Integration Between Civil, Military and Security Higher Education Institutions in Building an Educational Environment that Enhances Innovation.'
The seminar was accompanied by an exhibition featuring a number of technologies and innovations by members of scientific clubs and innovation departments at the Ministry of Defence and the Sultan’s Armed Forces. In conclusion, the seminar produced several recommendations in the field of innovation and capacity building in alignment with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040. - ONA
