The programme targeted a select group of leaders from Oman’s cultural and creative sector, aiming to equip them with the knowledge and leadership capabilities necessary to transform the cultural landscape into a sustainable economic driver.
The Cultural and Creative Industries Leadership Programme engaged 30 leaders from Oman’s cultural and creative sector and was delivered through ten days of executive learning.
Dr Fathiya bint Abdullah al Rashdi, RAM’s Vice-President for Programme Affairs, described the programme’s conclusion as a significant milestone in RAM’s mandate to develop national leadership capacity, stating that it “reflects our commitment to developing leaders who can translate cultural ambition into measurable economic value, while creating lasting impact that supports the growth of Oman’s creative economy.”
Hilal al Sabti, Supervisor of the Cultural and Creative Industries Leadership Programme, said, “The initiative undertook an important role in strengthening participants’ leadership capabilities and expanding their knowledge and understanding of policy, regulation, and investment opportunities within the cultural and creative sector. The collaborative learning environment added significant value as it facilitated the exchange of knowledge and expertise and cultivated a leadership community focused on developing practical solutions.”
Maryam bint Nasser al Kharbooshi, Director of cultural identity department at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, stated that investment in the cultural and creative industries extends beyond contributing to gross domestic product, serving instead as a strategic instrument for preserving national identity and cultural heritage by presenting Omani cultural products, in their diverse forms, to global audiences.
